Ina Victoria Stone Kurz was born January 25, 1944. She was raised in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Glen Ridge was home for thirty-two years. She graduated Jersey City State College cum laude, in 1966, with a BA. She graduated Rochester Institute of Technology, magna cum laude, in 1969, with an MFA. She taught school in Bloomfield, Dover and Mount Olive Township in New Jersey.

Ina supported Dave Kurz since 1969. They married in 1975. The newlyweds moved to Rockwood, New York in 1976, to own a small business, The Rockwood General Store.

The biggest support group were her beloved pets. Ina loved animals and gardening. She was active in many sports such as skiing and swimming. She also loved art work and oil painting.

Ina was a NORML member and was an activist to legalize marijuana. She managed the Rockwood General Store for 36 years as sole proprietor.

Survivors are four nieces and nephews, Robin Cousineau, Richard Jetter Jr., John Jetter and Karen Cavilere. She was predeceased by Shirley Stone; and has a sister, Lois Jetter.

Singing in the garden and talking to God, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, was also support from evil. Memorial services for Ina will be conducted at a later date to be announced.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
